So what is Hoshin?

Hoshin is Japanese for 'set a direction', and that's what my program is designed to do for your business. 

Hoshin is a crucial component of lean thinking. 

Back in 2011, I was introduced to lean processes and techniques.  I used them to transform the business I managed.  In just a few short months we doubled our capacity without work force expansion and took our output to $100 million.  We became a center of excellence.

How did we do it?

We used Hoshin planning sessions to identify waste in the work place; we identified where we were failing to achieve our customers needs and we introduced a whole new way of working with daily targets instead of monthly to focus us on deviations from our plans as soon as they happened.

Overnight our results improved.  We worked in the right products at the right time for our customers; material shortages and scrap was all but eliminated; the factory was transformed in to a cleaner, more visual work place and every one worked to customer focused processes and procedures.

The results were incredible.
